Some good news came out on Friday! All of those emails that were conveniently and in furiously lost have been found! It might almost be biblical. Certainly this will give the House Committees looking at this a lot of new insights into how this all happened.
This issue was rotten to begin. If the effort to hide and conceal the truth would have been applied toward operating the IRS how it should be running, maybe there wouldn’t be such a long waiting list to get approved for a tax exempt status. This is so mind numbingly stupid I just can’t even wrap my head around the whole thing.
I honestly don’t know what the more interesting point here is:
That Lois Lerner lost the emails in the first place?
That she had so conveniently couldn’t testify about them?
That they were’ backed up automatically? – (By the way, I have two independent backups running my sites every day, and I’m no IRS)
That such a politically motivated person would make it to Lois Lerner’s position?
That the IRS couldn’t find these emails for so long?
or… wait for it…
That the announcement that the emails were in fact found came the day the president was making his pitch for amnesty, after the election, and when there are several big political stories, essentially burying it in the news.
Something smells rotten here. But the good news is the investigators will now actually have access to this evidence.
Hopefully we can find out who was actually behind the targeting and they can be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
