It hasn’t even been a day since Obama started talking about Net Neutrality and the capital investment in this countries infrastructure is already being hurt.
Look at this tweet from the White House:

It looks as if they are already trying to explain how this isn’t going to hurt us. Let alone help anyone. Hey Obama – If this was a good idea, you should be talking about how its going to make service providers flourish and make broadband available for everyone. Not explaining how it isn’t going to hurt. But there’s already news out on how the capital investment in internet infrastructure is already stopping:

I wonder how many shovel ready jobs were just laid off because of this dumb idea…
If any of you remember the history of the internet, it started with Al Gore, which qualified him to be an environmental scientist. Then during the boom of the late 1990’s tech companies raised billions of dollars of capital which started the explosion in internet access and infrastructure. It was capitalism and free markets that built this industry and made it accessible to all; bringing broadband to everyone. Not big government and regulation. Obama’s scheme for the internet would put America behind the innovation curve during a time when competition is fierce. Don’t let Obama ruin America’s competitive advantage with the world in the area.
Could you imagine what would happen to the internet if Netflix and other streaming companies met their growth goals and net neutrality scared the service providers into not investing capital to support it? It sounds a lot like our other bloated utility problems.
